Hi, I've just installed v. 1.5.6 from within the blog on a WP2.7 blog. When I try and submit a link from the submission form, the page just clears the data – the thank you message doesn't even show.
Also when I try to add links from within the blog I get an 'error adding link [link name]'
I have unchecked all required fields, created and activated 3 categories
Any Ideas?

Sorry but I have not got a version 1.5.6. Difficult to help when I cannot see the error as well.
Is this a fresh install? Or an upgrade.

sorry – my bad. It's version 1.5.2  Have preiously installed v 1.0.6 but there seems to be 2 options to install from – so I installed the highest version number. Both plugin versions were visible in the plugin list though.

It sounds like there is something missing in the database that the sql is trying to insert data into.
I've been having some issues with the update script.
Can you take a look at the table for the module?

There are 3 tables:
directory_country_list
directory_links
directory_link_cats
Is that what you meant?

phpMyAdmin says that the table is empty…
…maybe I should just delete the tables and start from scratch?

deactivated the plugin, deleted the tables, reactivated the plugin and now it works :-)
I have a feeling I wasted your time… :-)

not a waste of time. wonder why you had empty tables to begin with.
