Playing games might make you thousands of dollars.
That hobby gaming that you had as a kid and turned into a past time as you grew older then you probably spent some money on an online game. Maybe you are addicted to the game now but want to quit. Or even want to make money from the game you play.
There are many people out there who make thousands of dollars selling items from online games. The items can range from game coin to equipment to characters to virtual realestate.
In one online game, recently, a player purchased an entire mansion for $100K.
Why would someone want to do that? Well they obviously think they can make loads of money off of it. They consider it an investment similar to buying a house or a mall.
They figure the profits they can make from selling space in a mall or offering rooms for rent(yes even in a virtual world) will be returned in a rather quick fashion.
I don’t know that they are all that wrong either. There are several games I am aware of which employ full time programmers at the cost of $50k a year in salaries for each one.
That doesn’t even count the stuff you can actually sell online at auctions. There are literally thousands of people who sell stuff.
You can find artifacts, gold, platinum, houses, castles. Just about anything you can think of game related, it is there.
Of couse most games frown upon this. While others actually flourish on this.
Just another money making opportunity which could be quite fun if done the right way.
