Cyber Begging
A trend that has been around awhile is Cyber Begging.
Cyber Begging is where you set up a website and explain your situation in hopes that people will take pity on you. You set up a way for people to contribute/donate and help relieve you of your situation.
This doesn’t always work. Also it seems to work better if you are female.
Be careful with this though. It is taxable and if you lie about what you are doing it could also be considered Fraud.
There are many ways to do this. Probably the best way to start is to find one of the free services to set up your site on. If you can get a URL and have it point to that free site that is even better.
Just make a page with your story. Post it to your site with a Paypal button. If you can manage it, create a bar which will show how much you have and how far you need to go. Some can be created with simple html.
Don’t forget to post on your progress towards your goal. Make sure you thank anyone who contributes if they leave a good email address for you to contact them with. If they pay by paypal then chances are they have given you a good address.
